Stargate Universe Star Joins Creation’s Vancouver Stargate Convention Guest List
Creation Entertainment is embracing the newest series in the Stargate franchine: Stargate Universe. At their upcoming Vancouver Stargate convention, Stargate Universe’s Brian Smith (a.k.a. Matthew Scott) will be appearing alongside cast members from Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.
The convention is being held April 15-18, 2010 at the Hilton Metrotown Vancouver in Burnaby, British Columbia. Other guests include Michael Shanks, Joe Flanigan, Jason Momoa, David Hewlett, Colin Cunningham, and James Bamford. Other guest announcements are expected as the convention draws closer.
Gold Weekend Package tickets are available for this convention. Although the most expensive, they are the most inclusive. Be advised that these almost always sell out well in advance, so you may want to consider making a purchase sooner rather than later. In fact, Creation reports that these are over 2/3 sold out at this time. The Gold Weekend Package for the Vancouver Stargate convention is $579 (USD). At the moment, only the Gold Weekend Package tickets are for sale. Expect cheaper and less inclusive ticket options to be announced at a later date.
Autograph tickets and photo-op tickets are already available for purchase. They range in price from $20 to $99, depending upon who you want.
Some of the events planned for this Vancouver Stargate convention are a music video contest, a costume contest, and a tour of the Stargate set (this sold separately for $349).
