National Halloween Convention 2010 - Win FREE VIP Admission!
I was recently contacted by Michael Bruner, co-owner of the National Halloween Convention, which is happening April 29 - May 2nd, 2010 in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. I was very excited to share with you all some details about the convention, especially since Michael is very interested in getting feedback from con-goers just like you! But before we get into that, here are some details about this convention…
The National Halloween Convention (or NHC for short) brings together professional haunters, amateur home haunters, Halloween decorators, antique collectors, horror film fans, and history buffs all under the one umbrella of the holiday.
Some of the activities planed for the convention will include a dealer’s room, masquerade ball, competitions, and trips to some of the best haunted attractions in the country. NHC also offers educational programming. Lecturers from around the country will be Professors for the weekend, so attendees can learn everything they need to get the most out of Halloween.
There will be classes in: costumes, makeup, special effects, prop building, scenic design, and even scareology. Those running these classes have hundreds of years of experience in their fields. These “professors” have experience in TV, film, stage, music videos, ren faires, historical re-enactments, and of course haunted houses and attractions.
As I mentioned, Michael wants input from con-goers early on. What do you want in a convention? What are some big dos and don’ts for you personally? Post a comment with your thoughts and opinions. This is your opportunity to help shape a convention before it happens!
Online Ticket sales will begin January 1st, 2010. But guess what? You can WIN VIP Admission tickets before they even go on sale.
That’s right, Michael has given me a few pairs of tickets to give away to my readers. Over the next few months, Convention Fans will be holding a series of mini-contests to determine the lucky haunters who will get to attend the convention for FREE!
