Published by dreadpiraterose at 2:00 pm under Contests Edit This

I am very excited to announce that Convention Fans will be giving away a pair of VIP Admission tickets to the National Halloween Convention, being held in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania on April 29 - May 2, 2010.

There will be a series of contests and giveaways over the next few months, but the very first pair of VIP Admission tickets is being given away this month! Please carefully read the details of this first contest below. If you violate the rules, your entry will be disqualified.

What You Win:

One winner will receive two VIP Admission tickets to the National Halloween Convention in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania on April 29 - May 2, 2010. (VIP ticket holders get bumped to the front of the line and they get to bypass the crowd.) Tickets will be mailed with a delivery confirmation receipt to the winner within two weeks of the contest ending.

BONUS!

One lucky person will get a free ticket to a dinner and behind the scenes tour of the incredible haunts at JASONS WOODS. Details of this prize are at www.haunttour.com. This is a $135 dollar value. This special prize will go to an individual who goes above and beyond in promoting the event.

The Legal Mumbojumbo:

- This giveaway/contest is being run by the independent writer of http://conventionfans.today.com, in conjunction with the National Halloween Convention, and has not been reviewed or endorsed by the webhost, Today.com.

- Convention Fans and the National Halloween Convention are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.

What is the Contest?

This first pair of VIP Admission tickets will be awarded to the individual who best helps promote the convention during the month of August. This could mean adding one of the National Halloween Convention banners to your signature to a forum you belong to. It could mean posting about it on your blog, LiveJournal, Facebook, or MySpace page.  It could mean writing an article about it for a school newspaper. It could mean making your own promo video and posting it to YouTube! Be creative, but be sure to link back to the convention’s website so we can count the traffic!

Contest Rules:

-  Absolutely NO SPAMMING. What’s the difference between posting a relevant link and spamming a link? Spamming usually involves violating a site or communities’ Terms of Service, or posting the link to a site/community that is totally unrelated to it. Do not do this. If we find out you did, you will be disqualified from this and all future contests.

- You may use as many methods to promote the convention as you like. There is no limit.

- In order to verify your promotional activities, please send links and/or screen shots to dreadpiraterose [at] gmail [dot] com, using the subject line: “National Halloween Convention Contest #1″. Do NOT post a comment here. Only e-mail submissions will be accepted. If you win, you will be required to provide a mailing address so the tickets can be sent to you.

- The contest ends August 31st, 2009 at midnight eastern standard time (EST). You must send an e-mail with your links/screen shots to dreadpiraterose [at] gmail [dot] com before that deadline to qualify.

- Once we notify the winner via e-mail, they will have one week to confirm their win and provide their address before we select a runner up instead.

- Convention Fans and the National Halloween Convention Contest will determine the winner based on who was deemed most effective in their efforts. Having the most links will not guarantee a win. We will look at traffic back to the National Halloween Convention website, video views (if you did aYouTube video), or comments on a blog/LJ/Facebook entry, and the creativity involved in your efforts.
