News Blurbs: Star Trek Las Vegas, Ozzy Osbourne, Twilight, and More
As usual, a lot of recent convention news is being dominated by Twilight. Creation’s Twi/Tour Twilight conventions are certainly growing and expanding at a ridiculous rate. And attendees from TwiCon 2009 are still airing their numerous complaints (up to 31 comments so far).

1. Twi/Tour Convention Tickets Now Available in Four Cities
Creation Entertainment’s Twi/Tour Twilight conventions are spreading all over the country. The company recently announced that tickets are now on sale for their Miami, Nashville, San Francisco, and Los Angeles convention stops. 2. San Diego Comic-Con 2009: 30 Most Memorable Manga Moments
About.com has an article by Deb Aoki that details the 30 “most memorable manga moments” from San Diego Comic-Con. They include items such as: Nina Matsumoto Wins an Eisner Award, Hayao Miyazaki Presents Ponyo at Comic-Con, and Yoshinori Natsume Does Batman Sketches for Fans. 3. Local company NOVEL JOURNEYS Takes Twilight Fans to Tuscany for the New Moon Tour
Not exactly convention news really, but certainly something that might interest Twilight fans: Novel Journeys International is the brainchild of two New Jersey “mom” entrepreneurs who take readers of popular Twilight novels to the birthplace of the book. 4. Anime Festival Orlando 2009 Highlights

5. Articles about Creation’s Official Star Trek Convention in Vegas
If you’re a Star Trek fan, then you’re probably well aware that the big daddy of all Trek cons happened in Las Vegas last weekend. Creation Entertainment’s “Official” Star Trek convention included an amazing line up, including William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. 6. Ozzy Osbourne to Appear at BlizzCon 2009
Don’t worry, you’re not the only one who did a double take at that headline. Yes, Ozzy, the Prince of F!@$#ng Darkness himself, is going to be appearing at Blizzard’s annual BlizzCon 2009 convention. Why? Well, click the link you’ll soon discover that he once did a commercial for Blizzard’s World of Warcraft. Apparently he’ll be performing a concert at the convention. Not sure if there’s much of a connection to Blizzard beyond that singular WoW commercial, but it sure makes for an entertaining finale to this News Blurbs entry!
