Patrick Stewart at Dragon*con? Make it So!

Published by dreadpiraterose at 6:58 pm under Convention Info Edit This

Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc PicardThe rumor mill is saying that Patrick Stewart, Star Trek’s Captain Jean-Luc Picard, will be attending Dragon*con 2009! The reason it is only a “rumor” at this point, is because it isn’t up on the Dragon*con website’s guest list. But the rumor has been given traction by staff volunteers, who say Stewart’s agent has confirmed the appearance, and we’re just waiting on some signed paper work to make it “official.”

I’ve gone and had my little hyperventilate moment. And when I caught my breath, I called my boyfriend. We’re both big TNG fans, and we love Captain Picard especially. I never thought I’d get a chance to see Patrick Stewart, because he doesn’t tend to do conventions very often.

One word of warning: Be prepared for lines and lines and lines at D*C. Leonard Nimoy (who is also attending) and Stewart do cons pretty infrequently, and they are iconic to boot. You can expect to see really long lines for autographs, and even longer lines to get into their panels/Q&As. This will be like the Firefly cast showing up a few years ago, when lines wrapped around buildings and you had to be there a good two hours before hand to get a good spot.

Yeah…I’ll be one of those crazies in line two hours early.

    Awesome news, too bad I ain’t going. : (

How often do Star Trek conventions occur anyway?

Because you can’t blame him for not attending if there’s like 5 a year.

HAVE FUN! And make sure you ask him to say ‘make it so’, like everyone else XD
