News Blurbs: BlizzCon Contest for Euro Cosplayers and Carrie Fisher at Motor City Comic Con
I have two quick news items to share with you all today. The first is that Star Wars‘ Carrie Fisher is going to be appearing at Motor City Comic Con as a headlining guest. Freep.com reports that “Carrie Fisher, will pose for photos for $50 at 5 p.m. Saturday. The photo session is limited to 300 people — autograph not included.” The convention takes place this weekend at Rock Financial Showplace in Michigan. The second bit of news is about BlizzCon 2009 (reminder: tickets go on sale this Saturday). WoWInsider.com reported that Blizzard EU is running a contest for European World of Warcraft cosplayers. To enter, all you have to do is send a photo of your WoW costume for a chance to win a free trip to BlizzCon 2009. There are, of course, numerous restrictions, which you can read about on the official contest page.
