Convention Fans

I’m excited to bring you the second installment of the Cons from A to Z series! I’ve partnered up with fellow con goer Nathan Lilly, who runs the amazing Green Tentacles Convention Finder (that’s his green banner to the left) in order to bring you this fun little series. Nathan’s website offers searches via zip code, so it is super easy to find a convention nearby, which is why he’s the perfect partner for this.

Together, we’ll be bringing you “Cons from A to Z” which will go through the entire alphabet and highlight a handful of conventions for each letter. This is a great way to bring some attention to some of the smaller or more unique conventions out there.

The Browncoat Ball is an annual, fan-run gathering of fans of the science fiction space western television show Firefly and of the movie Serenity (created by Joss Whedon). Browncoats from all over the world attend.  The BCB is being held in Portland, OR in 2009 (but changes cities every year). This event is a must attend if you’re a Firefly/Serenity fan! A full weekend pass is $180, but you can get a “ball only” pass for $80. Passes can be purchased online via PayPal.
