Super-Con 2009 - A San Jose Comic Book Convention
Super-Con is a comic book convention happening at the San Jose Convention Center May 16 & 17, 2009. It bills itself as the “East Bay’s Premiere Comic Book Convention” and has quite a guest list lined up (and a really cool looking website, I must say!).
The current guest list for Super-Con 2009 includes: Adam Hughes, Frank Cho, Eduardo Risso, Arthur Suydam, Travis Charest, Joe Jusko, Michael Golden, Howard Chaykin, Humberto Ramos, Julie Caitlin Brown, Bruce Dern, John Dolmayan, Peter Mayhew, C. Andrew Nelson, Marina Sirtis, John Wesley Shipp, and Jane Wiedlin. Read all about the guests by visiting the website.
Some of the events that Super-Con 2009 has planned are a cosplay contest, an art auction, tons of panel discussions, the return of the famous Inking panel, and more. This convention is also a stop on the Robotech Convention Tour (which I wrote about back in January).
If you are in the San Jose area, you can actually buy tickets at over a dozen different locations. You can also buy them online via PayPal (before May 12th), or at the door. Advance tickets are $15 for one day, or $25 for two. At the door tickets will cost $20 for one day, or $30 for two. This is a a really great price for a convention, so be sure to take advantage of it! Visit the tickets section of the website to make your purchase online or find a location near you.
