FEDCON 18 - Europe’s Biggest Star Trek and Sci-Fi Convention
I may be based in the United States, but even I have heard of FEDCON, which is the biggest Star Trek/Sci-Fi convention in Europe. The year 2009 marks FEDCON’s 18th anniversary, and it is being held May 1 - 3, 2009 at the Hotel Maritim in Bonn, Germany. But, be forewarned my European friends, this convention is quickly approaching its attendance cap. It was recommended to me that you get your tickets ASAP, as they may not be available for much longer!
The FEDCON 18 guest list is quite impressive. It offers a great mix of stars from various sci-fi shows new and old! The massive list includes: Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica - new), Summer Glau (Firefly/Serenity), Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek), Colin Ferguson (Eureka), Jordan Hinson (Eureka), Christopher Judge (Stargate SG-1), James Callis (Battlestar Galactica - new), Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica - new), John Billingsley (Star Trek: Enterprise), Robert Picardo (Star Trek: Voyager), Nana Visitor (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Connor Trinneer (Star Trek: Enterprise/Stargate Atlantis), Dominic Keating (Star Trek: Enterprise), Marc Alaimo (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Jeffrey Combs (Star Trek - multiple series), Max Grodénchik (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Erin Gray (Buck Rogers), Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica - classic/new), Jonathan Woodward (Angel/Firefly), and other industry guests!

As for the cost of tickets for FEDCON 18 (all prices are EUROS not dollars): Gold 3-Day Tickets are 499, regular 3-Day Tickets are 99, a Friday Day Ticket is 40, a Saturday Day Ticket is 49, and a Sunday Day Ticket is 40.
The Gold 3-Day ticket includes ALL autographs, plus an official t-shirt, lanyard, pin, and seating in the first rows. Every ticket includes a guaranteed seat, attendance to the guest-star-panels, the workshops and discussion-rounds, the exhibitions, the meeting-rooms and parties.
Please note that autograph tickets can be purchased in advance (the prices range from 10 euros to 40 euros depending on the actor). You can see the complete list and ordering page here.
The program for this convention is already available, and you can read it here. One of the events I just have to mention is the FED-LYMPICS, which “pits the talents of 8 teams (3 fans and 1 actor) against each other with the help of a few actors who will be appearing that weekend.” Sounds AWESOME.
