Horror Realm Convention Haunts Pittsburgh on September 18-20
Those of you who love the horror conventions are in luck, because I have information about yet another horror con for 2009! This one is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and it is taking place September 18-20, 2009. Below is the official press release, sent to me by the Convention Coordinator herself!

Horror Realm™ convention haunts Pittsburgh on September 18-20
Pittsburgh, PA – April 1, 2009 – Horror Realm™, an offshoot of the highly successful It’s Alive Zombie Fest weekend, returns to Pittsburgh in 2009 as a three-day convention geared toward fans of zombies and the horror genre. The name and format have been revamped to distinguish the event as a convention encompassing all aspects of horror as well as zombie culture.
Horror Realm™ will be held September 18-20 at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South, located directly across from the South Hills Village shopping center. The venue change allows for more than 5,200 square feet of exhibit space and will accommodate expanded film and author programs.
The convention offers:
- A dealer room featuring specialty horror-themed vendors
- Zombie & horror film festival
- Special VIP events
- Celebrity guests including actor Ken Foree and writer/producer/director Jeff Lieberman
- Contests, demonstrations & other activities
- Author discussion panels and readings featuring award-winning horror writers
