Convention Profile: Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo 2009

Jewel Staite as Kaylee from FireflyIf you are looking for an anime/comic/sci-fi convention in Canada, look no further! Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo 2009 is a convention that is occurring in Calgary, Canada on April 25th - 26th, 2009 at the Round Up Centre (Hall D).

Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo 2009 has a great guest line up! The guest list currently includes Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings), Ray Park (Star Wars), Jewel Staite (Firefly), Matthew Lewis (Harry Potter), and dozens of artists! You can view the entire guest list by clicking here.

There are a ton of great events to experience at this Calgary convention, including guest photo ops, a costume contest, role-playing games, board games, miniature games, card games, a live charity auction, panels, and more!

Tickets are available for sale online (via PayPal) until April 12th, so you better act fast. An adult 2-day pass is $25, and a 1-day is $15. Tickets for children under the age of 12 (with an adult ticket purchase) are $4 for the 2-day pass, and $2 for the 1-day pass. There is an official convention hotel, and that is the Hotel Arts. The convention room rate is $134 per night! Please call 1-800-661-9378 and quote “Calgary Expo” for the rate.
