Convention Profile: JordanCon 2009

Break out your Wheel of Time books kids, because JordanCon 2009 is just around the corner! JordanCon is a celebration of all things Robert Jordan, the late great author responsible for the Wheel of Time series, and numerous other works. The con takes place April 17th- 19th, 2009, at the The Embassy Suites in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Tickets for the convention will cost you $60 for the weekend. Kids tickets are $50 for the weekend. Pre-registration is available online or by mail until March 15th. After that it will need to be done at the door.
The guest list for JordanCon 2009 currently includes: Harriet McDougal (wife of Robert Jordan), Brandon Sanderson (author), Dabel Brothers Productions (comic company), Jendayi Bellydance Studio of Atlanta (performers), The Lost Boys (musicians), and Big City Burlesque (burlesque and vaudeville troupe). There are convention rate rooms available at the host hotel, and there is an overflow hotel in case that sells out. Rooms at the The Embassy Suites (host hotel) are $114 per night (plus taxes). The overflow hotel is the Hyatt Place at Northpoint, and rooms there are $79 a night (plus taxes).
