Convention Profile: The Official Stargate SG-1/Atlantis Convention
I finally have another convention to report on for our friends to the North, in Canada. Creation Entertainment (the same company who does all the big Trek, Twilight, and Xena cons) is hosting “The Official Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis” convention in Vancouver on April 2 - 5, 2009. The con is being held at the Hilton Metrotown Vancouver hotel.
Like most Creation cons, the guest list is pretty extensive, with some big name guests.
Guests for The Official Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis convention include: Robert “Bob” Picardo, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Paul McGillion, Joe Flanigan, Connor Trineer, N. John Smith, Teryl Rothery, and Dan Shea.
And now the bad news… all of the tickets are already sold out. Of course, you would have needed to give up your first born child to afford them. I’m sure some will be for sale privately (maybe on eBay and the like). You can look for fan communities and see if anyone is selling them.
There is still no official schedule posted, but for those who already have tickets, you can fork over another $80-$100 for a professional photo and autograph, both of which are being offered for the various guests. You can see the individual price break downs here.
