News Blurbs: Anime Expo, NYCC, and E’villeCon
I have some quick blurbs and links to share this morning. First of all, Anime Expo just made a HUGE announcement. They have booked “Japan’s most celebrated and top all-girl music group”: MORNING MUSUME. Anime Expo is held July 2-5, 2009 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Next up: New York Comic Con (NYCC) shattered attendance records for last weekend. An Arkansas (wtf?) news station is reporting the number of attendees to have been 77,000. No wonder people were complaining about it being crowded. I used to think Dragon*con was among the largest on the East Coast, but I’ve never heard of D*C breaking the 50k mark. Looks like NYCC is the new East Coast convention to attend.
And finally: E’villeCon, an Indianna one-day anime and comics convention, is being held this Saturday at the Central Library in Evansville. You can read more here.
