New Convention Announcement: Steamcon 2009!
I have another press release to share! This is for all you steampunk fans out there. If you’ve been attending conventions at all in the past few years, you know that steampunk is everywhere now. We’re also starting to see conventions dedicated entirely to steampunk, one of which is Steamcon 2009. The press release below comes from Diana Vick, the vice chair for Steamcon. Check it out!
Welcome to the Nascent Days of Steamcon!
We are beginning the endeavor of creating a steampunk symposium of the highest caliber in the resplendent Pacific Northwest - October 23-25, 2009 at the Seattle Airport Marriott.
Activities and events are being schemed and plotted.
Guests, vendors and artisans are being persuaded to aid in our humble endeavor.
Our Writer Guest of Honor is Tim Powers.
Our Artist Guest of Honor is Paul Guinan.
Our Music Guests of Honor are Abney Park.

Including several limited capacity events like our High Tea and Fashion Show, and a special concert!

Oh I’m so glad to see the other congrats here. I was preparing my “off topic” disclaimer on congratulations for winning!! That is quite an accomplishment!!
